The Colosseum is an ancient Roman amphitheater located in the heart of Rome, Italy. Completed in 80 AD, it was used for gladiator battles, public spectacles, and other forms of entertainment, holding up to 50,000 spectators. It remains one of the greatest architectural and engineering achievements of ancient Rome and a symbol of Roman history. Today, it's a popular tourist attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage Site
