Notre-Dame
Notre-Dame Cathedral is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture located in the heart of Paris, on the Île de la Cité. Built in the 12th century, it is famous for its stunning stained-glass windows, flying buttresses, and twin bell towers. It’s also known for its role in Victor Hugo’s novel The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. In 2019, the cathedral suffered significant fire damage, but restoration efforts are ongoing, aiming to reopen in 2024
